Creative Approach
Our initial exploration took us from simple 3D to paper cutouts. Then we found these awesome illustrations recently been created for the New York Rangers season tickets. It became clear we needed to tell these stories through cell animation. Ok and a little bit of 3D as well.
Inside that idea what kind of illustrative style did we want?
ABSTRACT
Macro style close, tight, slightly abstract framing.
LITERAL
Clean, simple factual style with no embellishments. Literal Storytelling.
EMOTIONAL
Dramatic scale and camera moves combined with a sense of emotion and the storytellers feeling.
Lots of storyboard frames to make sure the narrative is perfect.
